CBS has given a pilot commitment to an updated version of the classic cop series, Hawaii Five-O. The show comes from writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci and CSI: NY executive producer Peter Lenkov. There are little details on the reboot, which chronicled the workings of the fictional Hawaiian state police department led by Steve McGarrett. The original series ran on CBS from 1968-80. Kurtzman and Orci are co-writing the story for the pilot with Lenkov, who will write the script under their supervision. All three are executive producing.

CBS has handed out full season pickups to freshmane drama NCIS: Los Angeles and The Good Wife. Both dramas have performed well for the network after three airings on Tuesdays. NCIS: Los Angeles is the most-watched new show of the fall season, averaging 17.5 million viewers and a 4.1 adults 18-49 rating. While The Good Wife ranks as the second most-watched freshman series, pulling 13.7 million viewers and a 3.0 rating.
Both shows air Tuesday nights and are produced by CBS Studios.
Tonight on Law and Order: SVU , a woman (Deborah Ann Woll) goes missing from her apartment, and the prime suspect becomes her ex-con neighbor (Stephen Rea), a bank robber who spent 19 years in solitary confinement.

Moggie); and Dr. Harris woos an enigmatic beauty.
