NBC Picks Up Persons Unknown
July 16th, 2009 | 0 Comments | Email | Share | TweetNBC has picked up Persons Unknown, the Fox TV Studios drama series from Oscar winner Christopher McQuarrie. The order is for 13-episodes. Persons Unknown, executive produced by showrunner Remi Aubuchon, McQuarrie and Heather McQuarrie, stars Jason Wiles and Daisy Betts and revolves around a group of strangers who wake up in a deserted town with no recollection of how they got there, only to realize that they are watched by omnipresent security cameras. To escape, they must work together to solve a surreal puzzle.
Some expected the show, which is heavily serialized, to go to a cable network, but NBC also has serialized fare such as Heroes and the upcoming post-apocalyptic drama Day One.
