NBC Orders More Chuck, Bionic, Life And Journeyman
October 11th, 2007 | 1 Comment | Email | Share | TweetVariety is reporting that NBC has ordered three more scripts for each of its freshmen series Chuck, Bionic Woman, Life and Journeyman. This is a good show of confidence on NBC’s part and while there are no guarantees, this is a good sign that the network will pick up all four show for full seasons.
Chuck is probably one of the best shows of this fall and if you haven’t seen it yet, start watching it.
Bionic Woman is a decent show but Michelle Ryan’s Jaime Sommers is the weakest link. The only thing keeping this show interesting is the supporting cast including Miguel Ferrer, Molly Price, Will Yun Lee, Isaiah Washington and Katee Sackhoff. Ryan’s performance seem forced and very one-dimensional.
Life started out ok, but it didn’t interest me for an hour. I caught up with the show again last night and it had me for the first half hour, but it quickly faded in the final 30 minutes. Overall, Life is an intelligent show and it will probably have no problem getting a full season.
Now with all the hype surrounding Journeyman, I expected more. The show lost me fifteen minutes into the pilot. I don’t know if it has gotten any better, but the pilot was so bad, I won’t waste my time checking back in on the show. How NBC can order more scripts of this show is a little puzzling.
