Missy Peregrym has been tapped as the lead of Canadian cop drama Copper, which will air on ABC. The show is described as Grey’s Anatomy set in the world of rookie cops. Copper centers on Andy McNally (Peregrym), a rookie cop and the daughter of a homicide detective. She is anxious about her first day on the job, which doesn’t go as well as she had wished. Filming on the series, which has a 13-episode order, is slated to begin shortly in Toronto.
