Lost Returning To Tuesdays In February 2010

ABC has announced that when Lost returns, it will be on a different day. The show’s sixth and final season will premiere on Tuesday, February 2 with a two hour episode, LA X, preceded by a one-hour clip special at 8:00 PM/ET. The following week, on February 9, Lost settles into its regular time slot.

ABC is still working on the rest of its mid-season schedule, but it’s believed that V will take over the Tuesday at 10:00 PM/ET slot behind Lost when the show returns.

Lost has bounced around the ABC schedule throughout its run, having aired in slots as varied as Wednesday at 9:00 PM/ET, Thursdays at 10:00 PM/ET and Wednesdays at 8:00 PM/ET But with ABC’s Wednesday night comedy block working well this season, the network didn’t want to mess with that night. Executive producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof aren’t fans of airing the show at 10:00 PM/ET, which ruled out Thursday night. With Dancing with the Stars and The Bachelor doing well on Monday, that left Tuesday, have been a weak link in the networks’s performance. The final season of Lost could also perform well against American Idol.

In its announcement, ABC also revealed the roster of this season’s regular stars: Naveen Andrews, Nestor Carbonell, Emile de Ravin, Michael Emerson, Jeff Fahey, Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, Josh Holloway, Daniel Dae Kim, Yunjin Kim, Ken Leung, Evangeline Lilly, Terry O’Quinn and Zuleikha Robinson.

Rather than having V on at 10 in March I believe it would better to change it to 9pm and then put Lost Season 6 in the 10 pm time slot on Tuesday when it returns from the short break in March 2010. If someone could let ABC know about this and have them make changes to the Spring 2010 TV Schedule!it would be great.
