Lauren Graham Returning To Primetime On ABC
December 11th, 2008 | 0 Comments | Email | Share | TweetGilmore Girls star Lauren Graham is returing to primetime. ABC has given a production commitment to a new comedy starring Graham, who will play a self-help guru who teaches women how to live a stress-free life – but struggles to follow her own advice when her boyfriend dumps her. The untitled half-hour comes from scribe Alex Herschlag, who will executive produce along with Eric Tannenbaum, Kim Tannenbaum and Mitch Hurwitz. Hagada Hey and Tantamount will produce, while Sony Pictures TV is the studio. Graham will also serve as a producer on the sitcom.
The project is Graham’s first starring TV role since Gilmore Girls went off the air in 2007. She spent seven seasons on the show playing Loreli Gilmore. The new show is also a reunion between Lauren Graham and ABC. She got her big break on the network starring opposite Molly Ringwald and Jenna Elfman in the short-lived Townies.
