Jeffrey Dean Morgan Returning To Grey’s Anatomy

Denny Duquette, played by Jeffrey Dean Morgan, is returning to ABC’s medical drama Grey’s Anatomy says The Hollywood Reporter. A rep for the show confirmed Morgan’s guest appearance but declined to divulge further details. Denny first appeared in the show’s second season as Izzie’s (Katherine Heigl) patient, who was in the hospital because of a heart condition. The pair became engaged, but Denny died at the end of the season. His character did return in the third season in a vision seen by a near-death Meredith (Ellen Pompeo). Grey’s Anatomy has its fifth-season premiere September 25.
