James Van der Beek is set to guest-star on One Tree Hill says TV Guide. TV’s former Dawson is signed to appear in just one episode, airing November 24, playing a filmmaker who wants to put one of Lucas’ novels on the big screen. “The specter of Dawson’s Creek is always around us,” says One Tree Hill boss Mark Schwahn, pointing out that the CW series films on the same lot that Dawson’s Creek used to. “So I thought it would be cool to get James.”
