Grey’s Anatomy Finds Izzie A Mom In Sharon Lawrence

On the heels of Tyne Daly paying Seattle as a visit as Derek’s mother, Grey’s Anatomy fans are about to meet another main character’s mom. Sharon Lawrence, who is best known for her run on NYPD Blue and who most recently played parent to Privileged’s JoAnna Garcia, has been tapped to guest-star as Izzie’s mother, reports TVGuide.com. Lawrence will appear in a late-April episode.
