FX Greenlights Forever Sam Crow
October 10th, 2007 | 11 Comments | Email | Share | TweetFX has greenlit the pilot Forever Sam Crow, a drama from The Shield executive producer Kurt Sutter about the world of biker gangs in Northern California. Sutter wrote the script and will executive produce along with Art and John Linson. Casting is under way, along with the search for a director; the executive producers and FX hope to get cameras rolling sometime early next year. FX and Linson Films are producing, while another studio will be brought aboard at a later date.
Forever Sam Crow refers to the nickname of the group at the center of the project: The Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Original (Samcro). The project was the brainchild of John Linson, who knows several motorcycle club members in Northern California. Set in fictional Charming, California, Forever Sam Crow revolves around 33-year-old Jackson “Jax” Teller, the vice president of Samcro and son of the late club founder. According to Sutter, the character is at a crossroads in life and figuring out his place in both his blood family and his brotherhood family. Key characters also include Jax’s mother, Gemma Teller, and stepfather, Samcro president Clay Morrow.
i just wanted to let you know that i enjoy watching soa, also known as sam crow.. my husband and i watch it every wed. night.. but i also glad that i finally figured out what sam crow is.. for the rest of you who are trying to figure out who sam crow is it is the gang is referred to you sam crow… thank you for this very interesting show.. keep it coming
I also watch the show every Wednesday nite and any other time it is on. I am just wondering is The Sons of Anarchy a real Motorcycle Club or Gang? Because from what I have heard about the Hells Angels Bike Club, SOA is way to timid to be modeled after them. But I do Love the show and hope it has many more seasons to cum!
The TVo is set at our house for this show. We totally enjoy watching it, and recently was able to see some filming of the show. I agree with Becky, thanx for letting us know, who or what Sam Crow was…
This is one of the best tv shows ever! I used to look forward to Fridays because it was the weekend now I look forward to Wednesdays so I can watch S.O.A. Good job everyone!
Great show, I really enjoy the show SOA. Im there every Wednesday never fail. I rode Triumphs back in the early 80s and hung around a few gang members from Sons of Silence, Gypsy Jokers, and the Pranksters all from centeral Illinois. These bikers on TV are alot cleaner than the ones i remember.
Its also a new age Max. Sandra- No the are not a real club. Timid? I would actually say its exaggerated. You cant just blow stuff up and shoot people in the open.
SAMCRO- Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club Redwood Originals.
Their story seems to be based on the Hells Angels,the Angels have a war with the Mongrols a mixed mexican club,while SOA fight with the Mayans,having “church”is club lingo for club meeting in real life. and when they say take care of business(tcb,youll hear it alot now that you notice it)the ha’s used that to mean kill the guy.and when the guy kills the mexican at the food stand after words hes getting smily faces buy a “filthy few” tatoo,well that is really in HA,you get the filthy few with the SS lightning bolts if you have killed for the club,theres alot to mention,but it definitly looks like someone did their homework.
Glad to know I am not crazy…I have tried and tried to figure out who Sam Crow was…LOL….Love the show and thank goodness for my DVR so I never miss it…Great finale!!
I thought I was loosen it because for the hell of me I couldn’t figure out who SAM CROW was! Glad to know I wasn’t alone in that.
Any way, what a great friggin show, I absolutely love it. It’s hard finding something worth while to watch on TV anymore and this show has done it for me. And that Jax, well what can I say, he’s sexy, sensitive and always up to taking care of business when he has too!
I’m also a huge fan of Dexter on showtime.
I absolutely LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this show. It is the best new show of the season. I really hate that it’s on FX though, because while FX has more flexibility with what it’s allowed to do versus network tv, the seasons are entirely too short and there is a ridiculously long time between seasons. I watch every episode atleast twice and I’ve watched the season finale five times so far…..DVR’s are the greatest invention since the internet…..and I’m pretty ticked off that I have to wait possibly another year until a new season starts. I love the story line between Jax and Tara and I hope the writers and decision makers don’t do anything to screw it up. The dialog is excellent and I’ve enjoyed watching the characters be developed more and more in each episode. They could not have picked better actors to fit each character. I have absolutely no complaints about this show and I can’t WAIT to see it again.
Totally lovin’ the show:o) The characters couldn’t have been better cast, and my hubby and I were confused as to WHO Sam Crow was! (At first I thought the biker leader was speaking about himself in third person!! haha LOL!!) And I just found out about the show! Not even sure if they ran one season so far or two? It’s coming back on this week and I CAN’T WAIT~~~ Thanks guys!!!
