Foxworthy Hosting Syndicated Version Of 5th Grader

Jeff Foxworthy has signed on as host of the syndicated version of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader? says The Hollywood Reporter. Distributor Twentieth Television confirmed the news that Foxworthy, who hosts Fox’s primetime version of the show, also will host the syndicated version. The show is targeted for a fall 2009 launch. Should 5th Grader get cleared for a next year, it will be the second game show in as many years to leap from primetime to syndication and with the same host: NBC Universal launched a syndicated version of NBC’s Deal or No Deal, both hosted by Howie Mandel, this week.
