Fox Picks Up Relationship Drama The Oaks

Fox has given a series commitment to The Oaks, a relationship drama which centers around a haunted house, Variety reported. The series, from writer David Schulner (Tell Me You Love Me), follows the stories of three different couples who inhabit the same house at three different times: 1967, 1987 and 2007. They’re all connected, however, by mysterious spirits that appear to haunt the house. New Fox Entertainment president Kevin Reilly has tapped Shawn Ryan, creator of the critically acclaimed FX hit The Shield, as an executive producer and showrunner. Michael Cuesta (Dexter) is expected to direct the pilot and executive-produce as well. Due to concerns about the possible writer’s strike, Fox has put the pilot on the fast track and expects to shoot it in November.
