Disney XD Renews Aaron Stone, Picks Up Viper Slap

Disney XD has renewed the live-action adventure Aaron Stone, for a second season. Since its February launch, Aaron Stone, about a world champion video game player (Kelly Blatz) doubling as a secret hero, has improved the network’s year-ago ratings by 67% among kids 6-14. The series is exec produced by Bruce Kalish and Suzanne French. Production will begin in June on the second season of Aaron Stone.

The network has also picked up the new comedy Viper Slap. The show is about a teenage boy (Logan Miller) who is living his dream as the new lead guitarist of his favorite ’80s rock band, Viper Slap, while helping them on the comeback trail. Production on Viper Slap will start in July.
