Danny Comden’s Intruders Come To Fox
October 5th, 2009 | 1 Comment | Email | Share | TweetFox is developing The Intruders, a single-camera comedy project from actor-writer Danny Comden. The project centers on a wealthy country club father in Arizona who falls in love with a white-trash single mom and blindsides his kids by moving her and her family into their estate, where the debaucherous world of Lake Havasu collides with the manicured lawns of Scottsdale. The premise is based on Comden’s wife’s real-life experiences as a child in Arizona; her upper-middle-class dad brought in his white-trash girlfriend and her family to live with them.
Comden is penning the project, which has received a script commitment with penalty from Fox after interest from three networks. He is executive producing with Wonderland’s McG and Peter Johnson, reuniting with Wonderland and WBTV after starring in a 2006 ABC comedy pilot co-produced by the companies. Comden is not attached to star to the Fox project but is considering creating a character for himself to play.

This sounds funny!!! Really like Comden’s writing. Sounds perfect for FOX. Can’t wait.
