Comedy Central Renews Sarah Silverman For Third Season
March 4th, 2009 | 0 Comments | Email | Share | TweetThe Sarah Silverman Program will return to Comedy Central for a third season. The cable network announced that it’s ordered 10 new episodes of the comedy series, with Logo stepping in to co-finance the show. The renewal was put in question when its executive producers balked at budget cuts mandated by parent company Viacom.
However, negotiation of a shared window with Logo, which targets lesbian and gay viewers, made up the budgetary difference and allowed the show to resume in the lifestyle to which it had become accustomed. Logo has previously run Comedy Central programming, including animated series Drawn Together. The pair have never before entered into such a cost-sharing relationship, however.
