Colin Hanks Returning To Numbers
October 16th, 2008 | 1 Comment | Email | Share | TweetColin Hanks is reprising his role as Charlie’s academic nemesis and brilliant mathematician Marshall Penfield, on Numbers later this season says Michael Ausiello. “Charlie has to ask Marshall for help on an FBI crime when the key problem involves Marshall’s specialty,” explains executive producer Cheryl Heuton. “And as they work together, they argue about everything from obscure mathematical concepts to which restaurant makes the best hamburger. Despite their keen rivalry, they manage to come to an understanding about why they push each other’s buttons. But only after Larry is forced to ‘pull the math car over.’”
I like Colin Hanks but thought he tried to act too much like his father in his last role on Number3s. He’s a good actor on his own, he doesn’t have to imitate the facial characteristics his father (Tom Hanks) has developed over the past 2 decades (or thereabouts). I was disappointed in his role.
