Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood host the 42nd annual event from Nashville’s Sommet Center. Slated performers include hosts Paisley and Underwood, Trace Adkins, Brooks and Dunn, Kenny Chesney and the Wailers, the Eagles, Alan Jackson, Kid Rock, Lady Antebellum, Miranda Lambert, George Strait, Sugarland, Taylor Swift and Keith Urban.
The New Adventures of Old Christine (CBS)
Ritchie is recruited by a talent agent to audition for a commercial after he gives a wonderful performance in a school play, but Christine and Richard disagree over whether he should do it. Christine is all for it, while Richard doesn’t like the idea.
Bones (Fox)
The discovery of a body at a state-police training site leads to the investigation of a confidence game, played on a struggling inventor, that resulted in a pair of murders. Meanwhile, Booth’s brother (Brendan Fehr) takes a job at the Pentagon and develops a crush on Brennan, and Hodgins and a returning Clark Edison test the viability of the inventor’s designs.
Knight Rider (NBC)
Mike and KITT rev up to take down a politically connected criminal couple who are out to reveal classified information related to Knight Industries.
America’s Next Top Model (The CW)
Paulina gives the ladies tips on how to model with objects, such as fish and toilet paper. Later, the contestants invite over some local guys for a night of games.

Gary honors Vanessa’s request to go on a real date, but ends up in the doghouse when he takes her to the restaurant he and Allison often patronized.

Life (NBC)
For many shoppers, Black Friday is the holy grail of retail indulgence. But in tonight’s episode, Crews and Reese spend the day hunting for a killer instead of bargains. When a victim turns up dead at one of the largest malls in the country, the duo must contend with the crowds and the chaos to find the killer. Their task becomes even more difficult when the body mysteriously disappears. Elsewhere, an FBI agent contacts Crews.
Stylista (The CW)
The contestants continue their attempts to impress Anne in hopes of landing a job at Elle. Tonight that means they have to purchase an outfit for her from Henri Bendel. But Anne isn’t the only woman they have to please: Designer Tory Burch drops in as a guest judge and helps Anne decide which team performed best at a photo shoot. There is also a big surprise for the aspiring stylistas: Two are being cut this round.

A murder occurs inside a house that’s being relocated via a barge up the East River. The floating crime scene leads the investigators to uncover “SecretU,” a confessional group whose members reveal their darkest secrets, some of which lead to deadly consequences.
Law and Order (NBC)
A murder victim is found at a park, and the resulting investigation has detectives enlisting the help of a mentally-challenged man to crack the case.
Parking Wars (A&E)
A rookie faces drunk partyers while giving tickets; an alleged theft at the impound lot is investigated; and a man tries to elude the boot van.
Top Chef: New York (Bravo)
The culinary-arts competition series gets cooking with its Season 5 opener, served up in a supersize ration no less. Tonight we meet our 17 new chef wannabes, who descend on New York City doubtlessly making the mean streets even meaner. In their inaugural challenge, the foodies create dishes based on ethnic flavors of the city’s various districts. The new locale isn’t the only change this season: Food critic and author Toby Young signs on as a new series judge. Not to worry, though. Host Padma Lakshmi and head judge Tom Colicchio are back.
Sons of Anarchy (FX)
Jax’s loyalty to SAMCRO is tested when one member is arrested and another disappears. Meanwhile, Abel’s improving condition could spur his release from the NICU, but his homecoming may not be the only one. Drea de Matteo returns as a clean and sober Wendy looking to put her family back together.
