CBS has picked up five pilots including a new medical drama from Jerry Bruckheimer. The pilots included Bruckheimer’s Miami Trauma, as well as the dramas Three Rivers and The Good Wife, and comedies Accidentally on Purpose and Waiting to Die.

The medical drama centers on a team of trauma surgeons saving critically injured patients in Miami. Jeffrey Lieber wrote and executive produces Miami Trauma, which comes from Bruckheimer TV and Warner Brothers TV. Bruckheimer and Jonathan Littman are also executive producing.

Three Rivers also centers on the medical world, this time about organ transplants through the eyes of doctors, donors and recipients. Carol Barbee is writing and executive producing along with Curtis Hanson and Carol Fenelon.

The Good Wife, which received a cast-comtingent order, is a female-driven law show about a politician’s wife who pursues her original career as a defense attorney.

Accidentally on Purpose is based on the autobiographical novel by Mary F. Pols about a San Francisco movie critic who has a fling with a younger man and accidentally becomes pregnant.

Waiting to Die is a buddy comedy about two easy-going guys. Will Sasso and Chad Kultgen created and wrote the pilot.
