CBS Gives The Mentalist A Full Season Order

CBS’ new drama The Mentalist has been picked up for a full season with a back-nine order. The Simon Baker starrer has emerged as one of the most promising new series this fall and a good fit for CBS’ Tuesday crime lineup. A network spokesperson confirms that the network has ordered nine additional episodes of the freshman series, bringing the show’s season 1 total to 22. The full-season order follows a pickup by CBS of six additional scripts last week.

The Mentalist joins two other freshman series picked up for a full season, the CW’s 90210 and Fox’s Fringe.

What is the point in all this if CBS will not air free episodes of The Mentalist? We are being deprived of watching this show if we happen to miss the scheduled showing…It is most frustrating to see 1 min clips. I think this is not only crazy but also very selfish…I havn’t been able to find any explanation as to why CBS is doing this.

    Frustrated
