ABC Still Negotiating With Fox For King Of The Hill

ABC wanted to premiere King of the Hill creator Mike Judge’s new animated show The Goode Family in mid-season and would like to pair King of the Hill with The Goode Family. But the problem is that new episodes of King of the Hill won’t be ready until next fall due to the long production process. ABC has to choose between premiering The Goode Family solo in mid-season or delaying The Goode Family until next fall and premiere both shows together.

ABC is trying to convince Fox to give up its remaining final season King of the Hill episodes so ABC can air the show with The Goode Family together in mid-season. ABC is supposedly making Fox a fair offer. And Fox could premiere new animated comedy Sit Down Shut Up in mid-season in the King of the Hill time slot. So giving up the remaining King of the Hill episodes might not be so bad. But the move is still seen as doing ABC and Mike Judge a favor.
