Las Vegas’ Vanessa Marcil has landed a recurring role on NBC’s Lipstick Jungle. She’ll play Josie, a very attractive up-and-coming music manager who promises Shane (Paul Blackthorne) a gig scoring music for a cool indie feature.
Rumer Willis has landed a guest-starring role on Lifetime’s Army Wives. The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore, she will play the wife of a soldier who has been injured in Iraq. Her episode is slated to air October 12. Army Wives’ second season finale airs November 2. Production on Season 3 (premiering June 2009) starts next week in Charleston, South Carolina.
The 2008 Fall TV Season is upon us. Some of our favorites like Moonlight and October Road won’t be coming back, but others like ER and CSI are coming back after interupted seasons courtesy of the writers strike. Freshman hits Eli Stone and Chuck are also returning for a sophmore season. The new freshman class includes JJ Abrams’ Fringe on Fox, Eleventh Hour and The Ex List on CBS and the Knight Rider reboot on NBC.

NBC has picked up the back nine episodes of the second season of Chuck, reports Variety. Chuck’s full-season order comes more than a month before the show’s September 29 premiere date. NBC said they were pleased with the first six episodes in Chuck’s second season and wanted to keep the momentum going. In the series, Zachary Levi stars as Chuck Bartowski, an electronics store clerk who accidentally downloads government secrets into his brain - and must now deal with assassins and terrorists. Adam Baldwin, Yvonne Strahovski, Joshua Gomez, Sarah Lancaster and Ryan McPartlin co-star.
Friday Night Lights has cast ex-As the World Turns troublemaker Zach Roerig says Michael Ausiello. He will join the cast as Cash, a local rodeo star who lassoes Adrianne Palicki’s Tyra. Cash will appear just as Tyra’s romance with Landry is cooling off. Tyra has realized that, while she loves Landry, she kind of feels like he’s not really The Guy. So it becomes a story about are they going to be able to be friends, and will Landry be able to accept that?

Taraji Henson, who last season played Carl Sack’s New York office colleague on Boston Legal, has been booked for a three-episode arc on Eli Stone, says TV Guide. Henson will be playing Angela, the daughter of Loretta Devine’s Patti.
