“Undead” private investigator Mick St. John (Alex O’Loughlin) helps the living, instead of feeding on them, by using his acute vampire senses. In the opener, Mick probes the vampire-like murder of a college student and reconnects with a woman (Sophia Myles) from his past, who is now an investigative reporter. It’s soon learned that the victim was taking an ancient mythologies class taught by a man who claims he’s a vampire.
Forever Night meets Underworld . . . not just because Sophia Myles stars. The previews look good and the show has a little buzz. Check out my Pick To Click and DVR Las Vegas.

Brandon Eaton has joined the cast of NBC’s new time travel series, Journeyman. Eaton will play the younger version of the time-traveling lead character Dan Vassar played by Kevin McKidd. It seems Dan Vassar will be going back in time to his youth, and apparently will encounter his younger self.

Jordan Bridges is joining NBC’s new series, Bionic Woman. Bridges will play Tom, an unassuming teacher’s assistant at a prestigious university who also works for the CIA and is a potential love interest for Jamie Sommers (Michelle Ryan). Bridges previously co-starred on NBC’s Conviction.
In the introduction to his interview with CSI star Jorja Fox, Michael Ausiello reported that Jorja Fox will be leaving CSI in November.
How’s this for a twisty turnabout: Even though Sara Sidle survived her run-in with CSI’s Miniature Killer in last night’s gripping season premiere, her time on the show has nonetheless come to an end. Multiple sources confirm that Jorja Fox — whose contract expired at the end of last season — will depart the hit procedural this November after failing to come to terms on a new long-term deal.
In the interview with Fox, she chose not to comment on her character’s fate or about her leaving the show this season. Fox’s only comment was that the she declined the last round of raises for the cast, which means she didn’t add another year to her contract like the rest of the cast did. Her lack of comment either way makes me think that she is indeed leaving CSI at some point this season.
Michael Ausiello is reporting that producers have signed ex-Invasion star Eddie Cibrian and former Lost castaway Kiele Sanchez for multi-episode arcs. Cibrian has been cast as a love interest for Christina Applegate’s title character, while Sanchez will be a love interest for Barry Watson’s Todd. ABC is looking to keep both actors on the payroll. In addition to their respective roles on Invasion and Lost, Cibrian and Sanchez starred in ABC’s Football Wives pilot. Samantha Who? premieres on October 15 on ABC.

As the fourth season opens, Cristina returns from her “honeymoon” (with Meredith) and begins looking for Burke. At the hospital, new chief resident Callie welcomes a new batch of interns - including George, who is repeating his intern year, and Meredith’s half sister Lexie (Chyler Leigh). Meanwhile, Richard resumes his post as chief of surgery, while Bailey tries to acclimate herself to her new duties at the hospital; Derek, at an impasse with Meredith, looks to fellow doctors for friendship.
George is back as an itern. How long will it take him to come clean to Callie about his little indescretion with Callie? And will Derek trade up Meredith for her younger, half-sister Lexie? So now with Addison gone to Private Practice, will McSteamy hang around this season? Burke is gone, but his mother will be back to collect the rest of his belongings from Cristina.
With the Big Shots being the only new show, I am picking Grey’s Anatomy as my Pick To Click. Regardless of his actions, Isiah Washington is gone from the show and I really think Burke will be missed. Then we have Meredith’s half-sister Lexie joining the show. It’s almost like the writers reshuffled the deck and I think the show will find continued success.
